Wide eyed flounder (Bothus podas)

  • Description: Body wide and flattened. Separated eyes; widely separated in males. The color is variable, sandy usually clear, indefinite spots and / or white spots.

  • Diet: It feeds on annelid worms and small crabs that live in the sand, while accepting fine strips of squid and even feed pellets.
  • Temperature: 15 to 20 º C.
  • Habitat: It is a benthic species that lives on sandy and silty.
  • Maintenance: Medium difficulty. Not supported aggressive species.
